| Photograph by Shmuel Yosef Schweig. Fishermen on the Lake of Galilee, 1920s |
| The photographs that I have consistently chosen to include in the gallery listings are those that are not only fine visual images, but that are also connected to a cultural environment; not specifically Jewish in the accepted sense, but rather a fusion of past and present, such as connections with traces in the landscape, and changing realities in society.
From its inception the gallery has shown the works of photographers from the 1920s to the present, and whose images are an integral part of the Israeli ethos; Roy Brody, Boris Carmi, Yosaif Cohain, Neil Folberg (now Vision Gallery), Nahum Tim Gidal, David Harris, A. Himmelreich, David Rubinger, Yosef Schweig, Marli Shamir and Ilan Wolf.
The gallery is, by extension, associated with my research and curatorial activities.
